About
Founded in 2016, we are a small independent press that works with select content creators and on-demand printers to produce affordable, accessible, and aesthetically-pleasing works that explore the grotesque, the gorgeous, the repulsive, the erotic, the beautiful, and the bizarre with both reverence, irreverence, and a whole lot of nonsense.
Publications

Nansensu Magazine
A collaborative magazine that celebrates the beauty of the fringe — the grotesque, the gorgeous, the erotic, the repulsive. For our premier issue, five artists have come together to explore the theme of MONSTROSITY.
NANSENSU is a 6″x9″ full-color magazine that contains mature themes. Viewer discretion is advised.

{FAMILIA}
A chapbook by K. M. Claude
With sensual illustrations both beautiful and horrific, {familia} explores a fictitious dysfunctional family through an extended comparison to the family of one of ancient Rome’s most infamous emperors.
In these poems, as in life, history is cyclical, fact is fictional, and monsters are all too real. This is a tale with too much truth to it.
{familia} is a twenty-two page, full color 8.5″ x 8.5″ illustrated book of poems that contains mature themes.
Viewer discretion is advised.
Our Mission
To create and promote works that make sense of a nonsensical world by exploring the bizarre and grotesque within it.
Our Zine

NANSENSU #2: Vulnerability
A collaborative magazine that celebrates the beauty of the fringe: the grotesque, the gorgeous, the erotic, the repulsive.
Featuring the works of five different artists — K. Sisson, Q.W.C., K. M. Claude, Moira Absinthe, and F. Anneliese DePano — this premiere issue of NANSENSU magazine explores in illustration and sequential art one theme: VULNERABILITY.
Due to the MATURE nature of this magazine, including sensitive material and subject matter, viewer discretion is advised.

What’s in a Name?
Our name and that of our magazine comes from the ero guro nansensu or erotic grotesque nonsense literary and artistic movement in Japan.
Many of our contributors are or create works that are, in some form or fashion, on the “fringe” — the fringe of society, of sexuality, of sensibility, of sanity — and in fact, some have even been inspired by the ero guro movement and its works.
